WHAT TO DO ON THE DAY OF YOUR VISIT - Discuss gallery etiquette with your group before and on the day of your visit.
- For security purposes, all food, gum, beverages, cameras, umbrellas, large bags, and backpacks should be left on the bus or in the car. These items will not be permitted in the galleries.
- Subdivide your group into smaller groups of 16 or less participants (as indicated in your confirmation letter) before entering the Frist.
- Assign one to two adult chaperones to every group. Inform adult chaperones of their responsibilities while visiting the Frist.
- Enter the building and check in at the Group Tours Desk located in the Main Lobby to process payment and receive admission passes. Please present 1 form of payment.
- Students will be asked to gather in the Auditorium or Grand Lobby for orientation and assignment of tour guides. Please inform the Tour Coordinator if you group has special needs or wishes to use the restrooms before the tour begins.
Arriving by Bus Buses should drop off group members at the east door on Broadway, closest to 9th Avenue and the Estes Kefauver Federal Building. An entrance for visitors with disabilities is located on 9th Avenue near Broadway. Bus parking is available on a first-come first-served basis for confirmed tour groups on 9th Avenue (between McGavock and Demonbreun Streets). Please park parallel to the curb in the designated area. Buses should remain in the bus lane and group members will be walked out to the buses on 9th Avenue at the end of the visit. Arriving by Car Groups arriving by car or van may park in the Frist Center Visitor Parking Lots located between McGavock and Demonbreun Streets on 10th Avenue. Car and van parking tickets can be validated for FREE at the Group Tours Desk or Member Services Desk.
