To schedule your student group:

  1. Review all the school tour and activity options.
  2. Check Available Dates for tour date options.
  3. Complete and return the Student Tour Request Form to the Tour Coordinator by fax, e-mail, or mail at least three weeks in advance of the earliest requested date.
Once your request is processed, you will receive a teaching packet and confirmation letter that includes information on bus parking as well as a gallery etiquette guide to assist in preparing students for their visit. Please allow one week for confirmation.

CHAPERONE REQUIREMENTS:
All student groups must be accompanied on their tour by one adult chaperone (including teacher) for every 10 students. if your group does not have the necessary number of adult chaperones, the group may not be allowed to continue the tour.

COST OF SCHEDULED VISIT:
Admission is free for all children 18 years and younger. Each adult chaperone (including teacher) accompanying 10 children and Frist Center members are free.  Adults in addition to the required chaperones are charged $7.00 each.

Payment for additional adult chaperone tickets must be made at the time of arrival of the scheduled visit. The Frist Center accepts cash, checks made payable to Frist Center for the Visual Art, and all major credit cards. One form of payment is requested for each scheduled tour and no refunds are given.  

TRANSPORTATION SUBSIDIES:
To defray the cost of bus transportation, subsidies of up to $50.00 per school are available to groups of 40 or more on a first-come, first-served basis to public schools in Tennessee. Teachers may request a transportation subsidy by checking the appropriate box on the Student Visit Request Form.

CURRICULUM CONNECTIONS:
School tours of selected exhibitions support the Tennessee Curriculum Frameworks (PDF - Adobe Acrobat® required) by introducing themes that are relevant to visual arts, language arts, and/or social studies curricula.
